Mind the step. Mind the gap. Mind the doors. Quite courteous, actually. In the U.S. we generally say, “Caution! Hazard! Or Watch Out!” But here in the U.K. I am happily minding things.
At Summit University in Exeter, I learned more about minding the mind…what we think about, how we use our thoughts to help or harm life. Thoughts are real things and our focus during the retreat was on using them to become bodhisattvas–those who desire to aid all life to make it home to God. Big job? Well, it’s what we’re here for.
Here is a picture of a bodhisattva-in-the-making helping us all learn more about the path of compassion.

And so we bid farewell to Summit University and Ana Maria and I decided to travel light to Bath.

Here we are in the land of Roman baths and Jane Austen. Wanting to see the sights, we asked Siri for nearby launderettes and took a stroll to the Spruce Goose where we spent about £13 doing laundry. We felt like the whole thing was a huge success.
On the way we ate this and saw that.
Meanwhile, back in CA, my dad and brother went to a Dodger game. I don’t know who won.
