Retreat in the Heart of Darjeeling

Rainy day but it felt like this Nicholas Roerich painting

I didn’t take many pictures because of the rain but I did want to document our negotiation of many steps down and up!

And we still have our knees and our smiles.

10.4 miles today.

Tomorrow should be sunnier.

    Just lovely Lois. Thank you for taking us along on your journey. I have three logistical type questions. Are there bathrooms along the way or do you use the great outdoors? Do you stay at B&Bs, dorms, tents or what? I imagine you pre-arrange where you’re going to stay. How much weight are you carrying?
