Today I tried to be like Saint Patrick, alone on the mountains with the sheep…except I don’t think that he ate much and I had a chicken sandwich and two power bars.
Sometimes I found myself making up songs and singing them to God. I was inspired by how Saint Patrick spent all his time as a shepherd talking to God. I don’t know how my songs sounded, but I liked them and I hope God did too.

I never saw another soul all day, except when I got slightly lost and just at that moment a car came along the remote road and pointed out the way to go. Now that’s how the angels work.

The instructions were not exaggerating when they said this is a boggy trail!
Tomorrow I hike Gouladane Mountain!
