Don’t kill Arnie!!

image

Look how if you make a seat reservation the Irish trains cleverly put your name electronically above your seat! Ah, it’s the little things in life. Don’t we wish the airlines could do that? Very good, Irish Railways!

On the other hand, whenever I try to dictate the name, “Killarney,”  my iPhone spelling wants to make it into, “Kill Arnie.” Poor Arnie! Naughty iPhone!  I am praying for Arnie.

But, forget all that. Now I’m in Bantry and preparing to start the first 10 miles of my hike tomorrow. Plenty of rain here.  That’s OK, elementals. Hopefully I’m equipped.

This picture is for my sister-in-law. It is St. Mary’s Church in kill Arnie. (Well, you know what the iPhone means.) She  pointed out to me that when Jesus is shown knocking on the door, there is no doorknob. That’s because we have to let him in!

I seem to get a lot of comments and “likes” on what I’m eating. So here’s today’s menu. Lentil soup with plenty of carrot salad at a café in Killarney.

I had to take the salad and half the bread along with me.

Then Vincent, the driver who brought me to Bantry, said he loves to get the fish and vegetable stirfry at the Snug Pub. So I decided to try that.  Looks pretty successful, doesn’t it?

Now I’m tucked into my room at The Mill B and B. Good night!

Are you staying warm enough with all that rain? It may take a while for your internal thermostat to adjust to the new environment.

Lois I feel like I’m with you. I love that you are blogging the trip.

I was fascinated by the door knob. Tat painting hangs in the small town church where we were married. Will have to look for the doorknob.

    Have fun….love ya.
